Flu vaccination

This vaccination is particularly recommended for patients aged 65+ (including those who will be 65 by 31st March 2013) or patients with

 

  •  Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • Angina/Heart condition
  • Cancer
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Chronic liver disease
  • Chronic neurological disease (such as Parkinson’s disease or motor neurone disease)
  • On Dialysis
  • Also patient’s taking Immunosuppressant medication (including steroids, methotrexate and azathioprine)
  • All pregnant women (including those who become pregnant during the flu season)
  • Patients who are in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an older or disable person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill.

If you are not in one of the at Risk groups you will need to pay for your vaccination privately.
